Statement of faith

We the members of the local assembly knows as: BIBLEBAPTISTCHURCH do hereby declare these Bible truths to be essential for membership.

1.OF THE SCRIPTURES: We believe they are inspired by God (II timothy 3:16),

written by holy men of God (II Peter 1:16-21), preserved (Psalms 12:6-7 and Psalms 100:5), without error historically, doctrinally, and spiritually (Proverbs 30:5 and Psalms 12:6), and are the only guide for this church in matters of faith and practice.

Furthermore, we believe the AUTHORIZED VERSION OF 1611, called the “King James Version” with its 66 books of the Old and New Testament is this word of God. Moreover, we also believe that all the other, so called “Bibles” are blasphemous preservations of the word of God, and change doctrine in Romans 8:1, I Timothy 3:16, and attack the Deity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Luke 2:33, I Timothy 3:16, and are a plot by Satan himself to deceive the body of Christ by casting doubt on the truth of the words that God has spoken to the Church, Genesis 3:1 and II Corinthians 2:17.

We conclude that a man is only as good as his word, and we expect nothing less from our Creator, (Ezekiel 24:14, Numbers 23:19, Titus 1:2, Hebrews6:18, Matthew 5:18 and Matthew 24:35), who will bring his words to pass. We believe in the literal interpretation of the word of God, except when it is impossible to take them literally. The example in John 6 should be proof enough where the disciples didn’t take a bite out of Jesus or drink his blood.

2. OF GOD: We believe in one God (Deuteronomy 6:4) whose name is Jehovah (Psalms 83:18), who is eternally existent in three distinct persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, called the Trinity. The Father is God (Ephesians 6:23, Philippians 1:1). The Son is God ( I Timothy 3:16, I John 5:20).

The Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:3-5). The Scriptures attest to these facts in I John 5:7, and in the baptism of the Lord Jesus Christ by John the Baptist in Matthew 3:16-17 when the Holy Ghost descending like a dove, and the voice of the Father speaking from Heaven.

3. OF MAN: We believe that God created man from the ground in Genesis 2:7, that man was perfect in the image of God without sin (Genesis 1:26), but by willful disobedience to God’s command (Genesis 2:16-17), he fell from this image, thereby being separated from his creator (Isaiah 59:2). God then immediately set up a plan for the redemption for his creation in Genesis 3:15, and would have all men to be saved (II Peter 3:9),

if they will submit to his plan, or way (John 14:6, Acts 4:12).

4. OF SALVATION: We believe that salvation of the soul comes only by the Grace of God (Acts 15:11), by placing faith in the blood atonement provided by the son of God (Romans 5:9-12) who is the Lord Jesus Christ (John 20:30-31), the Lamb of God (John 1:29), whose purpose was to come to the earth where through His death, burial and resurrection provide for His creatures eternal redemption (Hebrews 9:12), and eternal life as a free gift without works (Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9).

5. OF ETERNAL SECURITY: We believe that the person who places faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ has eternal life, and can never go to hell. See John 3:16, 5:24, 10:28, Jude 24, Ephesians 1:13,4:30, and countless other places in the Word of God.

6. OF REGENERATION: We believe that the term salvation and regeneration are inseparable. Salvation being the end result of the new birth, or regeneration. Thus, regeneration is the action that takes place when a person places faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The person receives the second birth that the Lord Jesus revealed in John 3:3-7, and John 1:12-13. Regeneration is the work of the Holy Spirit through the word of God (I Peter 1:23, James 1:12, Psalms 19:7), because faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17).

Many things take place when this work of the Spirit of God is accomplished. The person becomes a son of God (John 1:12, I John 3:1), who is Justified (I Corinthians 6:11, Galatians 2:16, Romans 3:24), Adopted (Galatians 4:5, Romans 8:23), Sanctified (I Corinthians 1:2, 6:11, Hebrews 10:10), Redeemed (Romans 3:24, Galatians 3:13, Revelation 5:9), Reconciled (Colossians 1:20-21), Glorified (future) (Romans 8:17-30, Philippians 3:21, Romans 8:23).

7. OF BAPTISM: We believe that baptism has nothing to do with a person’s salvation (Mark 16:16, I Peter 3:21),

but is a picture of your death, burial and resurrection, and is the answer of a good conscience towards God. See Romans 6:4-6, and is essential for the obedience to Christ Jesus our Lord. This Church will only accept baptism by immersion according to Acts 8:38 where Philip and the eunuch went down into the water. This was the manner of baptism by our LORD JESUS CHRIST in (Matthew 3:16).

8. OF THE LORD’S SUPPER: We believe that the Lord’s Supper is communion of the blood, and the body of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 10:16-17).

It is a function of the Church to be carried out as often as ye will showing the Lord Jesus Christ’s death till he comes (I Corinthians 11:26).

Members should examine themselves, whether they are in the Lord’s body, for if they don’t, they drink damnation (physical) to themselves, and could become sick, or die as a result (I Corinthians 11:28-31).

9. OF THE CHURCH: We believe in the Church universal, not the Catholic Church, a mystical body made up of the born again believers according to I Corinthians 12:12-13, Colossians 1:24-26, Ephesians 5:24-32, because the body of Jesus Christ has no unsaved members in it, whereas the local Church, and the body of Christ is said to be one body (I Corinthians 12:12-13). Furthermore, although we are Baptist in doctrine and belief, we believe anyone who is born again of the Spirit of God is in the body of Christ no matter what local assembly they may attend.

10. OF DOCTRINE: We believe, and hold to the Baptist doctrines, which include separation of Church and State (Matthew 22:21), Eternal Security of the believer ( John 5:24, 10:28, Romans 8:37-39), Sovereignty of God

(Matthew 28:18), the will of man (Matthew 23:37), and Baptism by immersion (Acts 8:38).

We also hold to the Pre-Millennium, Pre-Tribulation return of the Lord Jesus Christ to Rapture (Catch out) His Church and after a period of 7 years tribulation for the Jews, Jesus Christ will return physically to the earth to set up a kingdom of Heaven for his chosen people, the Jewish nation. See Acts 1:6, Isaiah 9:6-7, and Revelation 20:4-6.

11. OF OUR CHURCH MEMBERSHIP: In order to become a member of Bible Baptist Church and be received into our local assembly the person must first look over our statement of faith and agree to our beliefs and agree (Amos 3:3) to be baptized according to scripture (Matthew 3:16) and be willing to standup before our local assembly and give a testimony of their conversion experience Romans 10:11. If these conditions can not be met we respectfully refuse to allow the person into our church because of spreading conflicting views among the membership and thereby causing dissention among our church. We may recognize that the person may be saved or born again, but allowing for their personal beliefs that they should not be allowed into the church to spread their beliefs instead of ours (Amos 3:3).

FINALLY: We hold these truths to be our beliefs to be practiced by this local assembly, and should never be altered, or changed as long as this local assembly is operating.
